Advances in AI technology, bring with them new ethical questions. What is the ethical way to programme driverless cars? Is it ethical to use automated weapons in war? This talk will delve into the new moral issues of Artificial Intelligence, and consider how they will have to be taken into account as the field advances. Listen to different ethical problems AI produces and decide where you think the future of Artificial Intelligence should go.

Bio

Saffron works for a charity, helping students get into STEM higher education, placements and careers. She studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Exeter. There, she focussed on the crossover of the three subjects applied to the programming of Artificial Intelligence and robots. She has looked at the political and economic incentives behind the ethical programming of AI and theories on how and why AI should be programmed in certain ways
